Kenneth McAlister Sr. posts on 9/8/2005 5:03:22 PM As a native "New Orleanian," it is rare to find an author who gets it right. The feel, the aura and even the directions are all correctly portrayed in this book. It is the first Kenneth Abel book I have read, but I am starting "The Burying Field," and look forward to it. Congratulations, Mr. Abel, on getting the "Big Easy" right! A Katrina postscript: It is harder to read about New Orleans as it was before the storm, but it is also uplifting, because the city will be back.
