Maz posts on 6/26/2014 11:10:14 PM Dear Annie, Thank you so much for taking the time to give us more of Deric's wonderful words via Kindle. I now have them on my iPad. I have next week off work and am relishing the thought of sitting down with a cuppa and crying bitter sweet tears of laughter and a little sadness. Thank you also for not forgetting us here, as we don't forget you, and keeping us updated. Love to all your family and Deric's readers and have a good summer. Love Maz xxx
julia Aldred posts on 6/26/2014 4:21:03 PM I have not been on for a while. I was so saddened by Deric's passing, but I enjoyed the comments from his other 'friends' and im sure he would like us to keep in touch. He was such a lovely, friendly man it is nice that we can keep up to date and post our comments on here, maybe even for his family to read. I can actually say that he was instrumental in me making a very good friend in Bea, as without tbis page we would never have known about each other. God bless you Deric, you are very much missed. Sending all good wishes to you all and to his family xx
Bea posts on 6/24/2014 11:04:54 AM Hi Annie, just got Radio Times Take 3 on my Kindle - thanks so much for letting us know that it was available. Probably going to gloat a bit before I get to reading it - and then be sad once I've read it! All best wishes, Bea

Jan Tenzer posts on 6/24/2014 9:37:15 AM For Yvonne, prayers for your quick recovery, and best wishes on your new venture!
Bea posts on 6/23/2014 11:21:52 AM Hi Aileen, Annie and all Deric's family, have been thinking of you all over the last days, especially. Sending you blessings from South Africa. Kind regards, Bea
Yvonne Welsh posts on 6/23/2014 10:32:51 AM Hi. I, like Sugarbees, have also not been on for a long time for the same reason. Even though I had never met Deric it was still a blow as he was my favourite author (along side Gerald Durrell). I haven't been able to post or read his books for a while. I hope everyone is doing well, including Aileen, Annie and all the family. I shall have to try and get here more often. I have been off work due to a bad hip (then fractured my rib too) for 6 months and have self taught myself cake decorating and I'm getting busier and busier with orders....not sure how I'll have time for work! Any way, love to all, Yvonne x x
Annie Q posts on 6/23/2014 4:19:15 AM Deric's words, warmth and humour live on for all who loved him. We are the lucky few who were closest and we can smile at the many many fond memories and times we shared with this generous and loving man. Love to you all today and every day.
Annie Q posts on 6/23/2014 4:18:40 AM To commemorate the day we have published a third installment of Deric's Radio Times on Kindle eBook from the typscripts found in the basement.
Annie Q posts on 6/23/2014 4:17:37 AM Since Deric found out he was Jewish at the age of 40 i have looked up some Jewish traditions for the first year anniversary of a death (knowing how he loved sparrows!) By Himig Heswita a song: "How lovely is your dwelling place oh lord mighty god, lord of all. Even though the lowly sparrow finds a home for her brood and the swallow and nest for herself where she may lay her young, in your altars my king and my god. Blessed are those whose dwelling is your own, lord of peace. Blessed are they refreshed by springs and by rain when dryness daunts and scathes. Behold my shield my king and my god. I would forsake a thousand other days anywhere if i could spend one day in your courts, belong to you alone. My strength are You alone my glory, my king and my god."
Jan Tenzer posts on 6/22/2014 6:00:45 AM To Aileen, Annie, and the rest of the Longden family...You are all in my thoughts today. Love, Jan
