Rosemary Kirstein posts on 3/6/2010 4:32:53 PM For those interested, I've started a blog... However, I note that this site seems to object to mentioning other websites. I suppose Google is the obvious answer...
Mary Gilmour posts on 3/22/2009 8:56:31 PM Has anyone any knowledge of the possible arrival date of the next books in the Steerswoman saga?
Anonymous posts on 5/23/2008 1:48:48 PM Tina, various sources imply the expected release of City in the Crags as 2005, 2006, 2007... Although none of those were correct, I expect that despite the already long wait, it will not be another 10 years before the next installment. Additionally, I read a (second-hand) statement from Rosemary that she was writing books 5 and 6 simultaneously, so there is hope that when Crags does finally hit the shelves, another will be hot on its heels. Has anyone tried sending a letter to Ms. Kirstein? You know, an actual piece of paper through the postal service, care of Random House? Her total absence of internet presence seems to demand that mode of correspondence. Perhaps she herself would be willing to divulge some tidbit to her fans.

Tina G. posts on 5/5/2008 3:33:52 PM I got hooked on this series when the Steerswoman first came out, way back when. I was ecstatic when The Outskirter's Secret appeared. Eventually The Lost Steersman appeared and The Language of Power. They were well worth the wait, but it is frustrating to be waiting years yet again for the next book in the series. I've seen the potential of the first volume bear fascinating fruit. Now I'm hungry for the next course. Any word on The City in the Crags would be welcome. In the interim, anyone who likes this series and hasn't discovered Anne McCaffrey yet should check out her Dragonriders of Pern series.
bahwriter posts on 8/23/2007 10:58:37 PM i am anxiously awaiting the next book. i read it was scheduled for '07 release. anyone hear anything more about it. i know rosemary kirstein's books come out s-l-o-w-l-y, but i'm really eager. and unfortunely Del Rey's site won't give publish release dates. anyone know anything concrete?
Rita posts on 11/11/2006 12:23:50 PM Having just discovered the Steers woman series and read them in one gulp, I have been searching for the latest episode, without luck. Is it in print yet? Thanks!

Jonray posts on 2/14/2006 5:57:32 PM In an August 2003 interview with SFRevu she states that she had tentatively titled her 5th book "The City in the Crags". In a May 2005 interview with Locusonline the opening text mentions "...and forthcoming The City in the Crags". Hopefully it will be soon!! I bought "The Outskirters Secret" on a whim in a grocery store and was hooked. I could tell there was an earlier book but was never able to find it. Then I was able to get the first, third & fourth book pretty close together. I hope she is able to write the full eight books (seven about Rowan & Bell and one Prequel). Her writing completely draws me in and I feel like I'm there living the story rather then reading words on a page.
Anonymous posts on 1/27/2006 6:52:16 AM It took her nearly 10 years between Books 2 and 3, may have to wait just as long for Book 5 :(
