Susan Kay Message Board

Abi posts on 6/25/2008 1:55:27 PM I recently discovered the movie and fell in love with it. I've watched it countless times and love Gerry's portrayal. Now I've just finished reading Gaston's novel and couldn't put it down. I'm really looking forward to getting Phantom by Susan Kay which should arrive tomorrow. I have no doubt that it will be as addictive as the movie.
Dixie posts on 12/15/2006 10:40:20 AM I agree with the post from Jane. This is by far my very favorite book. I don't normally read something more than once and I have read this many times. I am always sad, and actually miss Erik when i am done. Even my husband, said he missed him after he read it. It is an excellent piece of work.
posts on 4/22/2006 4:29:04 PM What a wonderful book. I couldn't put it down and I wept at the end.I found it haunting. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I searched for it on ebay. Used copies of it are offered regularly. I just checked and three are on offer at $6.50, $10.50 and $20.50. I think I paid $11.00 for my copy and the lady mailed it from Florida to France where I live. Check it out. Good luck.

posts on 4/17/2006 9:08:03 AM Hi. The book was reprinted at the end of 2005. It is available from all the online bookstores now. The paperback is $14 and the hardcover $36. An ordinary highstreet book store could also order it for you. The paperback is th esame size as th ehardcover so the print is a much better size than the old mass market paperback edition.
posts on 4/14/2006 11:07:59 AM Hi - Has her book "Phantom" been re-printed yet? If anyone could provide an update - I would appreciate it!
Jane in British Columbia posts on 3/13/2006 10:54:08 PM I am a voracious reader, and revisit my favorite books many, many times. "Phantom" is absolutely one of a kind, engrossing, addictive, and quite possibly the best book I have ever read. If there is any justice in this world, Susan, please please write another novel for your many fans to enjoy. I have just finished my 5th reading of this book and how I yearn for more story when I turn the last page! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this novel. I look forward to reading it again and again over the years...
Tammy B posts on 8/2/2005 11:37:51 PM 16.95 for Phantom. And they are taking pre-orders. This is for the trade paperback. You can find them using a google search.
Linda Shields posts on 8/2/2005 11:04:14 PM Does anyone know why Susan Kay has only written the two books, Legacy and Phantom? The are both so very good I'm surprised she hasn't written more.
Tammy B posts on 7/20/2005 10:06:11 PM Your company is a blessing! Congrats on picking such a great author and a wonderufl book! ::: applause:::
Deborah Greenspan posts on 7/20/2005 7:48:43 PM Llumina Press has just signed an agreement with Susan Kay to reprint her brilliant, best-selling book, Phantom. Llumina is a small publisher. We have done primarily print on demand and self published books up until now. However, as I am a Susan Kay fan and this is a phenomenal book, we are going to re-publish Phantom as a traditional publisher and will do a first run of three to four thousand trade paperback books. We will begin the setup on the book during the next month and will be taking pre-orders on the first print run within the next few weeks. We are so proud to bring this wonderful book back into print. Look up Llumina on Yahoo to get the latest news. iLLUMINAtion begins at Llumina!
