why is Susanna, Lisa, Daisy in McLean Hospital. and also how does bureeaucracy function in McLeans, what were some of the examples.

I watched the movie for the first time just a few days ago and I can't get enough of it. I got my friend to watch it too. She can really relate to all that goes on in the story. She was put in a mental hospital because she tried to hang herself a long time ago. She's doing great now, but she liked how the movie explained things about what life feels like when you're actually in a situation like that.
