Holden posts on 1/15/2008 10:29:01 PM Wow this book is really retarded. In the beginning, the main character gets frustrated that someone placed an ad in the newspaper about wanting a pupil. Who the f*** gets angry over that. Second, the main character expects people to be lining up by the hundreds for the teacher. What the f***. No one lines up for a teacher.
posts on 9/24/2006 12:01:24 PM Ishmael was a great book. it has a mind controlling gorillia....how can it get any better??

jane posts on 10/5/2005 2:31:09 PM There was a lot of statements that were not facts, ie... the references to the Bible, though they did have some truth in them the perspective was based off lack of facts, which then loses the credibility of the perspective.
Kato posts on 9/28/2005 3:25:05 PM Jane, what part of the book isn't factual? Read The American Heritage Book of Indians, if you're a fan of Ishmael you'll know where the book appears in Ishmael. The book Ishmael is a story, but it is littered with factual information. You need to see past just the story, then you'll see that facts are abound.

jane posts on 9/26/2005 4:19:31 PM I agree that this book is an awsome piece of literature, but it is not fact, yes it is a new way of thinking but it is not fact. I think that it is great to be able to find new perspectives but that does not mean that the perspective is fact.
Kato posts on 9/26/2005 3:50:31 PM I can't believe some of the things I am reading about Ishmael. I myself found the book and the others that followed it to be extraordinary works of literature, one that has surpassed any others out there. I bet the only reason this book is even considered fiction is because of the telepathic gorilla. Other than that the book is rife with historical, religious, economical, scientific facts. Open your minds, this is really a new way of thinking.
jane posts on 9/22/2005 4:05:51 PM What do you think the some of the most important features are? What do you think ishmeal's opinion is on the most important issue we should be learning?
Nikki posts on 8/24/2005 11:39:19 AM I think that "aoithelkajtkl" needs to grow up. I thought that Ishmael was a fascinating book. It really got me thinking a lot about how we are living through trial and error. Because we are. Who is to say that there are not some laws on how we should be living. Stop being so closed minded.
