Francine Rivers Message Board

JC posts on 1/18/2008 12:12:33 AM I read this book and it really hit close to home. One of my friends became pregnant and had to go through some of the same pressure and decisions. The only sad part is that her parents forced her to get an abortion. :( I still think that every gir should read this. I liked how she was able to make it seem like you were there in Dynah's life. The Atonement Child is an awsome book!!!
Anne Hughes posts on 12/1/2007 11:00:43 AM The books by Francine Rivers have changed my life. I have grown so much. She is an excellent author and I highly recommend her books ...All of them. I have read six and am going to read them all. What a blessing they have been to me.
Em posts on 10/4/2005 8:37:28 PM I don't know who all has read this book, but it was excellent. It is my favorite book. I could read it over and over again. I love how Francine Rivers makes a Biblical truth so...applicable. The relationship between Michael and Angel is just like God and His people. We turn away, and He still waits with open arms. And, we are all able to receive God's forgiveness, no matter what.

Danelle Bolton posts on 4/8/2005 11:42:42 AM Dear Francine, I got this beautiful e-mail about a lady who sadly died of cancer, but this is what she wrote before leaving this world to be with the Lord! "If I had my life to live over~ By Erma Bombeck" I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have talked less and listened more. I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained, or the sofa faded. I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth. I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband. I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have sat on the lawn with my grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life. Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherised every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle. Let's think about what GOD has blessed us with. And what we are doing each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally. I hope you have a blessed day :)

Brittney posts on 1/3/2005 5:29:44 PM Francine Rivers did a great job with this book!!! I started reading it and I couldn't put it down. I really liked it that she allowed the reader to see it through the main character's point of view. There are some serious situations dealt with in this book.
