Born to wealth and privledge (1902) this anglo-american woman has written books of true scholarship as well as an autobiography. She has also written about her experience in Italy during WWII with her husband,when they provided support to refugees, pows, partisans. A most remarkable woman whose writing is truthful, but understated.
