have read all penmans books about three times each cant wait until october for her new book to be released just wish she could write them a lot quicker the only bool i wasnt that keen on was the reckoning all her otther books i simply adored

Why haven't we seen any movies made of Penman's books? I have sent letters to several Producers and Directors suggesting this with NO replys from anyone.
Maybe if more fans would write, they would wake up. With the questionable movies being put out for our "entertainment", why aren't we entertained? Because the GOOD stories are being ignored.
Penman fans UNITE!
(A good movie set in the Welsh countryside with real Welsh and English actors. . .)

My high school daughter views Ms. Penman's Welsh trilogy which began with the book Here Be Dragons as one of the most thrilling pieces of literature she has read. They are her favorite books, so much so that she is planning on writing a college essay on the affect they had on her reading and learning desire. To feel the full atmosphere of the books we am planning on taking a trip to Wales so to relate even more to the trilogy and to experience the Welsh culture so vividly portrayed. I was wondering though what towns or places might be the best to visit in order to experience the foundations of Ms. Penmans's writings, and wanted to know of any modern names of the old Welsh towns/area from the trilogy. Any assistance you can give would be much appreciated.

Start with "When Christ and His Saints Slept", then "Time and Chance", "Here Be Dragons", "Falls The Shadow" and finish with "The Reckoning". Be warned...there's inertia built in and you won't be able to stop until you've read them all!!!
"The Sunne In Splendor" jumps a couple of centuries, is an excellent next step, and should then be be followed by the shorter mystery series to get the full impact.
