dear mr. Henkes i read Olive's Ocean for a book report at school.It was a pretty good book.Now I am doing my project.I'm geting a real baby food jar and filling it with water and using it for my report!

I teach 6th grade Language Arts. I have a young lady who reads well, but dislikes it. She wants to enjoy it. She and I read Olive's Ocean together and she loved it! She's anxiously awaiting my next choice. Do you have any suggestions for reading that is similar to Olive's Ocean?

I loved Olive's Ocean and I honestly think that you should make a sequal. I guess you really couldn't care less what other people think you should do but I was just suggesting an idea...

I am doing an author study on you for my Children's Literature class. I have enjoyed reading about you and just fell in love with your mouse books. I am giving a powerpoint presentation on you and some of your books April 11. I would like to ask you a couple of questions if I may. What got you interested in writing children's books? What do you feel has been your biggest accomplishment? I know all your characters are special, but if you had to pick, which is your favorite and why? Thank you so much for your time and for writing such wonderful books.
