you guys are idiots you are asking questions and not getting answers.I too is doing a book report on Sounder.First of all the setting is 19th century in the southern states.If you want more info on Sounder just ask me or i don't know maybe you should OPEN THE BOOOOOOOK!!!!!!and find out for yourselves.=)
