I've been encouraged both by the books I've read by Tony Campolo and what I've seen and read about his life and teachings. In short, not only does he TALK about what it means to follow Jesus, he's also DOING it and helping point other people to ways they, too, can "walk their talk" regarding following Jesus.
Among other things, orphaned and underprivileged children have been helped by Tony Campolo himself and by people he's inspired to do so through Compassion, International. Also, young people are giving themselves to help others in the inner city through an innovative Christian mission program that brings people into inner-city communities to live, work with, understand and become one with the other people in the community, offering practical help and showing them that there is a God who cares about their situations.
