Just finished reading Mischief in the Snow. I liked it and admire her writing but was constantly confused by Longfellow addressing Charlotte as both Charlotte and Carlotta. Hope that glitch is fixed in subsequent books in the series. I plan to read them all.
The edition I got was from my local library. Bantam Books/March 2001

I am asking the same questions as Susan. I have read all four books by Mrs. Miles and am completely hooked. She smoothly pads her plots with actual history, while delivering a most enjoyable story. I hope she is still writing - I want to get to the Revolutionary War!

Her website does not exist...no new material since 2001...Will they be any new books in her Bracebridge series ?
