Marion Chesney Message Board

parker posts on 2/23/2010 6:06:24 PM I have several of the series in harback. They are library extra copies bought at a local bookstore years ago. Am thinking of selling the lot. Also, many of the earlier paperbacks. I agree, I would love to read a new series form her.
Omoore posts on 12/8/2009 11:56:34 PM I just picked up Hasty Death and I fell in love with the characters and the time that they are placed. I plan to order the rest since I cannot bare to wait to find another one. However it looks as though the last installment of the Edwardian Murder Mystery was in 2006. Any word on this moving forward? XOXO Much love from America!
BERYL BEATTIE posts on 11/28/2009 8:50:48 PM This is a message which I hope Marion might just read..... Hi Marion, I believe we were in the same class at Albert Senior Secondary School way back in 1951 (3MG) and I apologise for not knowing what a wonderfully successful and prolific authoress you have become. I read you live both in the Cotswolds and also in my most favourite city in the entire world, Paris. (Although obviously not at the same time). You most certainly have brought immense honour to Scotland and indeed, Glasgow even if the Springburn we once knew exists no longer and our old school was destroyed and is now replaced by another boasting a new name and new school colours. If you see this, do get in touch. Best wishes, Beryl Beattie,

Jan Helton posts on 1/3/2009 5:51:58 PM I have the whole collection of Marion Chesney books as Marion Chesney and as MC Beaton.. She has a series called the Poor Relation which is great. I find most of my books on half.com I have also enjoyed a series by Rhys Bowen - the Molly Murphy Series and a series (can't remember author) calle the Freemont Jones Series. Just for suggestions.
susan k. posts on 1/3/2009 4:06:07 PM I also LOVE her books. More please. Many are readily available through public libraries. I would also love to communicate with her and say bravo! I have read that she is married and has one son. I believe they live in Engl. and France. Her books are so special. I would like to know if anybody knows of other authors that Chesney fans would like.
smokey posts on 7/8/2008 3:32:36 PM i really enjoy marion chesney, she is different than any other regency writer Her characters have personality. marion chesney is able to portray human nature at it's funniest, meanest and sweetest with all the little quirks of human nature. My favorite series is the Daughters of Mannerling, each daughter was unique and each male love interest was believable and interesting, the backdrop for this series is a house that pulls at each daughters feeling of self esteem and need to belong to a place that is familiar, a place that has defined her.I also really enjoyed The Chocolate Debutante and The Dreadful Debutante, what characters! I guess you could say I really like this author and often wish she could be acessed via e mail so I could tell her thanks for a great read.
Di posts on 2/9/2006 3:25:20 PM LOVE LOVE LOVE HER BOOKS! So old fashioned, easy to read, just love them. I would love to OWN the ENTIRE collection! Any ideas of where I can get the hardback ones?
Illmarryuhamish posts on 9/4/2005 7:00:48 PM When's the next hamish book coming out??
Allison posts on 8/4/2005 11:33:13 AM I'm totally addicted and have read all but 9 of her books. She is the best, and I agree with the other fan, after reading her, I cannot stomach other historical romance novels.
