Evelyn McConnaughey posts on 5/5/2013 7:27:37 PM Hi, Mitzi, I would like to keep in touch. How are you? I have moved to 1202 Jacobs Dr. apt. 105, Eugene OR 97402, a retirement place, called Solvang. We are starting a book discussion group,(Mondays at 2) and reading Kessler's "The Stubborn Twig." I would like to buy another copy of your book "Made in Japan, and Settled in Oregon" as I know others in the group would be interested. If you ever get to Eugene, it would be lovely to have you come to discuss your experiences I hadn't known about your book about Don, and wondered if I could purchase it also. I hope you are well. Love, Eve (Evelyn)541-345-0227

Mitzi Loftus posts on 10/11/2008 2:35:17 PM Yes, I am still active in UU but have moved to Ashland, where I can sing in a 30-voice choir. We have invited the small congregations on the coast and around the Willamette Valley for a "clusters" workshop next week and I'll be happy to see folks from the CB-NB area here. I am in the 5th printing of my first book and published a second book of Don and my life with our three sons, FROM HERE to EVERYWHERE, Boxes and boxes of that book sit in my (Don's) Suburban for want of room in my small condo (downsized from my 400o sq ft house to 1000 sq ft here. Did you know that Don was killed in an accident in 1996. He was on his motorcycle on his way to play for the CB Presbyterians on a Sunday morning and a 3/4 ton truck hit him broadside (Duil). That's 12 years ago already.
roger sample posts on 9/7/2008 3:43:19 AM Hi Mitzi!! Have you written any more books? How's the South Coast UU Fellowship these days? I'm still here in New Bern, NC, still working(teaching in a prison), and active in the local UU fellowship. My best to you and all who might remember me!! Rodge
Willard Carroll posts on 10/27/2007 5:19:13 PM Mitzi, Are you related to Gene Asai. Gene would have been in the Hood River High School Class of '44? I was in that class and would like to exchange a message. Willard
