hello all hope everyone is well and all the pussies. One of mine is just recovering from a fractured pelvis. Wehad to confine her to a dog crate for 2 weeks but she coped well, I think she quite liked her own little space!

Hi Everyone! Jocelyn, I was SO sorry to hear about Tandy. It's very hard when a beloved pet dies as they do become part of your family. However I'm glad you have her kitten to soften the blow a little. Our first rescued cat in 2001 was only with us 8 months as it was discovered she had cancer on her tongue. I'd put so much effort into that timid little cat and she'd become a lovely lapcat. I surprised myself at how upset I was! Jan, we didn't go on the QE2 as that was sold some years ago - we went on the 3 year old Queen Elizabeth, named by our current Queen here in Southampton. She is the smallest of the '3 Queen ships' and is absolutely beautiful. Deric, we haven't heard anything of you, nor do we expect to, but I do hope you and Aileen are keeping as well as you can, especially in this beautiful sunshine that has been with us this past week - hopefully summer will come! Love to all, Diana - Southampton xx

Hi Friends. Jocelyn, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure you and the little one will comfort each other during those times when your kitty will sorely be missed. Gill, I'm hoping time is healing the loss of your friend. Also, I've heard many wonderful things are being done regarding Aspergers and Autism. A dear friend of mine has an adult son with Autism, and he's an amazing person, as I'm sure your son is. Take heart, he's got a GREAT MOM. It was fantastic to read about your cruise on the QE2 Diana. I was present at it's first launch from Fort Lauderdale, Florida many years ago. The first Queen Elizabeth was docked there for a long time, and my friends and I spent many wonderful evenings aboard, singing and dancing with the crew before it was sent on its way to become a floating university but then unfortunately it sank. Oh, those were the days. I think of Deric and Aileen often, and my prayers are always with them. Regards to all. Jan

Hi all. Nice to hear from some old names. I too have not been on for a while and when I do it seems to be all bad news. I haven't had my cat Tandy for a year yet and she had to be put to sleep last week. She had cancer of the kidneys and intestines. It was such a shame. She was only four. I am so pleased that I decided to keep one of her kittens as it has helped with the loss. I only found out yesterday that my sister met Deric a few years ago at a cat show! She kept that quiet!! Love to all. Jocelyn

Hi everyone, also haven't posted for a while. Gill, so terribly sorry to hear about the loss of your friend, she was too young, life can be so terribly cruel. My heart goes out to you too with your son's diagnoses. My son also has Asperger together with AD/HD, Celiac Disease, Diabetes mellitus type 1 and Asthma. Life is a roller coaster ride with Asperger, but there is a lot of help out there. Personally, despite all the heartaches that we have had to suffer (he is now 23), I wouldn't have missed it for the world. He is the most amazing person I know, although hard to get along with at times, but the journey has made me a much better person, more tolerant, especially towards disabilities of all kinds. You are in my thoughts, bless you. Regards to everyone. Susan

Hi all. I haven't posted here for ages...hi Diana, how's my lovely southampton? It's been a horrible few months. My best friend died of cystic fibrosis last month...she was only 41. She had been in hospital for most of the past 2 years, and was so very tired. I miss her terribly. My son has been diagnosed with aspergers too..so its been a bit of a rollercoaster. Deric and aileen I send my best wishes to you both, you are never far from my thoughts. Hope everyone is well....Jan, yvonne,Diana, hello to you all. Gill.belper.xx

Hi Everyone! Haven't posted here for ages. We'd booked a holiday as we hadn't been away for nearly 3 years. I was so poorly for so long I almost didn't make it. However we've just returned from a two-week cruise on the Queen Elizabeth, in awe of its beauty and the incredible service we were shown. The sea air has done me the world of good, thank goodness, and I'm coming alive again! I took one of Deric's books with me even though I hardly needed cheering up at the time! [Did you know you'd been on an Iberian cruise, Deric?] Thought about you and do hope you are well in spirit if not in body. Ginger Hugo won't leave me alone now we're back and even tabby Henry who has never been able to purr, actually purred when he sat on my lap for the first time for a fortnight! Love to all Diana - Southampton xx
