I just read State of Fear and thought it was a scary but realistic take on the state of a lot of feel-good movements both environmental and social. The whole concept of creating problems to get money to solve them was interesting for a novel especially an action packed thriller. There is a character who is a bleeding heart actor who meets a gristly end so there are moments not for squeamish readers but it will keep you turning the pages.

Michael Crichton delivered a speech "Aliens Cause Global Warming" in Jan 2003. Is a DVD or tape of him delivering the speech available? If so, where? I would like to use it in my global warming class which starts in jan 2007.
