I have to write a paper for my class and i'm just a little confused with the character traits because it's been a while since i read the book. If someone could just help with a little reminder of the characters, that would be great. thanks, allie.

Does anyone know what Alex Cross looks like? Thanks, Lynda

He had Ali from a later relationship (my memory is shocking) but if you read earlier books all will make sense. The lady in question moved away (not surprising with what his job put her through) but then re-appears in later book to reclaim Ali - that is very sad. Love his books too.

Ihave read almost all of the James patterson books and enjoyed them very much. However, I just listened to the audiobook of Swimsuit, I didn't really care too much for it. It may just be me but it didn't hold my interest like most of his books, I would like to know what others think about it.

Question: I'm reading "Cross"--first Patterson book I've read. Can anyone answer this for me? When his wife was killed they had two kids. 10 years later he has three kids, and one is quite young. (ALI) Where did he come from? If he's 10 (born around the time of his wife's murder), he wouldn't have "Barney" in his room, and be a "little guy". Also, when first introduced to the Butcher, he's got a side kick--who always watches his back. But later in the book, he's not referred to again. (I have almost half of the book left though). Just seems to be inconsistencies? Thanks!

Greetings all (SPOILERS AHEAD), Just finished reading the 5th Horseman and though it was a great book I'm still left a bit confused. Okay I got that Sonja Erngstrom (was that her name? The pharmacist at the hospital) was having an affair with Dr. Garza, but did they ultimately decide she was 100% innocent? And was there a connection between the "Haitian" woman (the actual Night Stalker) and the doctor? If not, how did the Haitian woman know what prescriptions to give people? And how did she get away with it? Was Dr. Garza not the night stalker at all, and his whole plan was just to make himself look guilty so his "other girlfriend" could collect the % of the settlement? Help me understand the connections here - thanks!

A newcomer to James Patterson books and yes I'm addicted. I just finished the You've Been Warned and 2nd Chance. I'm not reading them in order but to me it doesn't matter. Each one seemingly can be a standalone. Honeymoon was just ok and the 6th Target so far is my fav.

I used to enjoy reading James Patterson's books but what happened? I just finished reading "You've Been Warned" and it sounded like something a young person with a wild and weird imagination would dream up. Even an "Intro to Psychology" course would be too deep for it. I guess the summary on the back cover didn't cover this because how could you explain it? Had I known, I would not have bought it and will never buy another. Mona
