umm...i was just wondering how there could be another book when it is called the bartimaeus trilogy...trilogy meaning three...if there was another book it would have to be a whole new series...which i dont think anyone would mind anyways...

i have to admit the ending was a bit disapointing, but i cant see it any other way, truthfully. I'm not so sure there should be another whole book, but an epilogue or something maybe. id just like to see kitty summon bartimaeus once more or something.....or maybe there COULD be another book! yeah, it might be about kitty and bartimaeus getting together and getting some work done about that idea she and ptolemy both had. Well, if there ever is another book id be one of the first to get it, thats for sure! And about the movie thing, i totally agree. i cant even begin to imagine how the director is going to be able to fit in all of barty's witty comments and things in the footnotes and stuff. there's just no way any movie will be as good as sitting in a comfortable bed or chair in familiar suroundings ond peacfully reading. imagination is better then actors attempting to please everyone, which will never happen anyways, so why bother?

Wow, somebody was feeling hyper. But I do agree, I did like the ending... sort of. +ducks behind a pile of books as people start chucking things at her+ You have to admit, it was a good way to end it. Not that it wouldn't have been good if Nat was still alive, but it was good all the same. Poor kitty. Bartimaeus can't die, he's too... Bartimaeus. the fact that he's still alive doesn't have to mean that there's a sequel though, nat. This wouldn't be the first book to leave it's main character alive at the end, after all.

I'm not sure-it's a nice, dramati way to end the series really-I don't think anything more should happen for a while anyhoo-I bet Jonathan Stroud's demanding we do our forty days in the desert just for little ol' him-I wonder if he reads boards like these and giggles with malicous laughter? He's out there...

Many people have desired to know Jonathan Stroud's birthday, which is not at all easy to find. For those who indeed wish to know, Mr. Stroud was in fact born on October 27th, 1970, in Bedford, England.

You know I personally HATE the ending. I mean couldnt nathaniel have like chucked and broken the staff in Noudas face and run away with the seven leage boots! It was just extremely dissapionting.

Acually, I think Stroud should of killed off Bart too. That way, it'll actualy end.

i agree with what they said on the first page, bartimaeus is still alive so someone else should summon him. yes i loved the ending but i was hoping thatit would not come for a few books longer.
