How could any of you guys hate the ending? I LOVED IT! It was like the best ending ever, so surprising and cool. I DO NOT WANT THERE TO BE A MOVIE! IT WOULD SO RUIN IT! About the ending, I think the part about Ptolmy is sad but with Nat dying? I DONT CARE!

Man this has got to be the 5th time Ive said this! JS said he may write a sequel if he got bored and they are making a film. The film rights sold to mirimax three years ago and is coming out in a few years. They're also making a cartoon version in german with english subtitles called des amulets.The ending rocked!! even though i really didnt want nathaniel to die. Look at it in the veiw of the author - how would you have ended it, and make it a special one, not just with lovestruck nathaniel and kitty getting together, and barti getting away to the other world? o yes and i forgot to say he's rumored to have been writting a book called the other place - bad sadly barty's said to not be in it.

I would also be very interested in some new books relating to the Bartimaeus trilogy. Perhaps Kitty summons Bartimaeus in order to see if he truly died or not (or possibly on accident - while summoning something else, she says Bartimaeus' name) Also, how about books detailing the adventures of Bartimaeus and Nathaniel between Book 1 and Book 3 besides Book 2. He mentions the Amulet and the Oyster, as well as a few others. I would definitely read those stories, would you?

Does of you that are not English, what are you? -Did the movie for the trilgoy come out already?-I did cry when nat died. i cried a lot. I do hope jonathan stroud writes a sequel to the trilogy because the ending was unfathomable. But, I have heard that the only reason why he would continue the trilogy was if he was bored and didn't know how to start a new story. Well, I have to go you guys. Bye!

Hi...hm so I agree the conclusion could be better, but also worse...:) I was really sad when Nat dead I must confess I cried a little, but it was generous death... I think so...
I can´t imagine the next novels os Barti - what would they were about? i don´t know but it´d be great...:)
And do you think Nat and Kitty were - just a little - in love? it was looking so, and that´s one of the reason why I didn´t enjoy the conclusion... unhappy relationship yeah...
And about the movie - usually I don´t like watching movie versions of my favourite books ´cause it´s completely different then my own vision. For example such as harry potter. after Bartimaeus it´s my most favourite book set - i love it and although yes, i did like the movie versions, some of characters were quite strange and... hm, it´s maddening ´cause when I´m reading HP, my presonal ( previos ) visions are mixed with movie visions and it´s not that! °)
Yees maybe you think I´m crazy but it´s my opinion :-) So a movie version of Barti... no, it´s nothing for me :) I prefer books..
