Rose, thanks for setting the record straight. Kez, the new book is really not bad. I admit it isn't as good as the original Malory books, however, it is a Malory book. You get to revisit with the characters you know and love and have a new adventure. Drews character is off though. He seems a little more like the old Warren. All in all, When Lindsey writes an OK book, it is still ten times more enjoyable than most books out there.

Lillian, Passion’s Rapture was released first. Then Lindsey released "Love Only Once" three years later. The name James Malory/ Mallory is used for a secondary character in both books. Beloved Scoundrel (I think mid 80‘s )by Neri about her James Mallory was released before Gentle Rogue. Mickey Pattison; Penelope Neri’s story about “James” takes place during a different time then Lindsey’s “Malory Series.” Also the Physical description of Neri’s “James” was different if I remember right. They are in no way interconnected. They are two separate story lines. The similarities between “James & George” and “ James & Christina”; ends with both heroines dressed like boys and both heroes being pirates named James Malory/ Mallory. Since the overall story lines for the two books are different it would be really hard to prove any such thing as copyright infringement. Though to be honest I highly doubt any such thing occurred.

Does anyone know what Johanna Lindseys next novel will be about?

Are all of you saying that the Mallory saga was basically pirated? I'm confused? This isn't copy right infringement??? What about all the hoopla with The DaVinci Code?

I just let everyone know that you can pick up almost any Lindsey book at the Library. I read her newest one in hardcover from there the first week it came out!

I really enjoy most anything Johanna Lindsey writers, but most of all the Malory family. I can't wait to buy the latest installment, in softcover, next April. I always hoped that George's five brothers would get their own storylines and it looks like Drew is the first. I look foward to more possible stories on the Anderson brothers.

I love to listen to Lindsey's books on CD, but she only has a certain few. Will she be adding any new books to her list of books on CD's?

So which author was the first to write about James Malory/Mallory?

Passion's Rapture is the prequel to Beloved Scoundrel James Mallory (with 2 L's) is the hero in Beloved Scoundrel. It is a different character then James Malory (1 L) in Lindsey's Malory series. different various time periods are used in Neri's books. Also Gentle Rougue with James Malory was released 3-5 years after Neri's book. The heroine in both books pretends to be a boy & James sees through the desguise in both cases though.
