I am currently teaching I Have Lived a Thousand Years to high school freshmen in Ohio and they are riveted. I don't know if Ms. Bitton-Jackson checks in on this forum or not, but thank you for your straightforward and unapologetic narrative. Some of my students may be sending you letters...

I recently read this book for a non-fiction project in my 7th grade class. I found it really moving and cried more than once. You did a great job and I just couldn't help commenting.

This message is for susan shillingford. I talk with Livia and I will tell her about this site and ask her to come and look at this, how you would like to talk with her about a screen adaptation.

I read I Have Lived a Thousand Years as a requirement for a grad course. This was an amazing book. I am completing the assignment by doing some research online and have come across this web site. I could not resist commenting. I see Ms. Bitton-Jackson's other titles and am thinking of purchasing some of them. J.N.

Did you ever get your book of poems back from the Hungarian soldier?

I have read "I Have Lived a Thousand Years", "My Bridges of Hope", and "Hello, America". I LOVED them all. I read them in 5th grade when the libarirn suggested them to me. I am in 8th grade now and still think they are the best books I have ever read. I can not belive everything you went through and if it was me, I do not think I would have be able to. So I have great admiration for you and wish you well.
P.S. because of my interest, my mother and I have visited the holocaust museums in NYC and Washington DC.

Livia! This is Chris from your class at Lehman College a few years ago ... I hope all is well this holiday season. I see that your new book will be available on Amazon and other sites in August 2009. I will keep an eye out for it! Thanks again for everything, and continue to write! :)
