I have to agree with Harry. I don't think the publisher would credit Thomas Kinkade as co-author if they were merely using his artwork for the cover.

I love the Cape Light series. As far as who does the writing, I think they both do it as a team effort. Katherine indeed deserves much of the credit but I think They both worked on this.

I always wondered if he actually wrote them or not. I figured it was a team effort with Katherine Spencer doing the editing since she is the more experienced writer. One would think if she were the only author her name would precede his. Surely he must contribute more than just the artwork on the cover. Where did you find that she was the author and not him?

Please note Kathy's post of 1/6/09 - there she mentions all the books in the Cape Light series and there appears to be 9 of them starting with "Cape Light".

Glad for the clarification on Cape Light. How would one know that Thomas Kincade is not the writer as his name appears on the cover first? Love his paintings, but was very disappointed in this book, and just like his other commercial endeavors he is into books, though he does not write them. The artistry is beautiful on the jacket, and if his contribution is only that it should be stated. Did I miss it?

cathy and yolanda, thomas does not write these books, his name is on the cover and his artwork but katherine does the writing. each story continues on to the next, it does not end with the end of each book, and so far, a new one comes out every october. i love this series and look forward to each new book.

Yolanda:
Keep reading. Emily and Sara's relationship continues in the subsequent books. I like them, I wish he would write more than one per year.

I just completed the Cape Light book and though I find it very draggy and lacking depth. the final disappointment
came in the end when Emily and Sara her adopted daughter are left dangling to the reader as to the outcome of their relationsip. Poorly done ! It
seems Thomas Kinkade needs to stick to
painting !!
