I've read all but a couple of Forbes' novels and must say I love them. While I can't disagree with what most people say, I love the lack of effort required to read his books (a bit like reality TV for the literature world). I'm usually reading a couple of his books simultanously and can never remember which one I picked up last, not that it matters, that's the great thing about them. Although I will question the writing of the last couple released under his name before he died, I'm glad he was so prolific under this pseudonym.

This has to be about the WORST book I have read in a long time! The characters are not even "cardboard", the story line is pitiful, and I continued to read it only because I could not believe it was SO BAD!

Just to echo the other contributors, I have never read a book with more appallingly drawn characters, a weaker plot line and more inane dialogue - there mnust be hope for us all !!

When i started readi ng this, my first colin forbes book,I thought i was missing the joke,I like others am amazed it got published but also pleased,as the ludicrous plot and dialogue have been most amusing, I have had more laughs reading this appalling book than i have reading books that were menat to be funny but weren't. I look forward to reading more of TWEED and co's adventures.

I enjoy these books mainly for the storyline but also because there is no bad language. I am fed up with bad language spoiling a good story. I send those back to the library unread.

This is the most apalling drivel I have ever tried to read. Got to page 88 and gave up. Buyer Beware

I'm half way into Blood Storm and found myself tonight, again, wondering how the author of this rubbish had managed to clock up so many "best sellers". Every time I read some more I tell myself I must do a search on him to see if anyone else thinks the same things I find myself thinking... and here you all are! Ludicrous story, pitifully weak dialogue and really really strange technology usage. It's set in the near future and yet nobody has a digital camera, or the internet. Photos must be developed in basements and delivered by hand, even overseas. Still, it's given me a laugh so far so I guess I'll finish it. But I'll never buy another Colin Forbes book!

Thank god, Thought I was the onlyone and that somewhere I had missed the point. Brian Wells below echoes my thoughts exactly. The first time I have ever wanted a book to end.
