I thought that the moment Jane seemed to be accepted was when the kitchen workers in Still waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra let her sit in on their ghost story sessions....

I thought the moment of truth in Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra that determined whether or not the locals would accept her came when she visited her new home in Seneca Hollow and the old man there welcomed her -

While all of the locals may not have embraced Jane with open arms, most just ignored her in Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra. It was almost like they were waiting to see whether she would stick around or not, or whether she was just another transient moving through. But once they saw she was there to stay, I felt as if she were totally accepted.

Rainy days like today always remind me of Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra. If for nothing else, this book has stayed in my memory for the weather aspects, then the author did his job. The weather elements and the story in general have stayed with me for just about three years now and counting.

Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra changed the way I choose my books now. Before this, I stayed away from typical romance books because I really wasn;t satisfied with the stories. This one was different. I also loved the clash between the newcomers and the oldtimers. And aside from some cold shoulders, I thought Jane was actually not really harshly treated. By the way, fukk the troll below that said this book sukks! It definitely doesn't!

Re: Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra - I loved that scene, too. I thought the pirate gave that lady a real New York greeting. She deserved it, though. I won't kill the scene either but I thought it was hilarious.

I died laughing at the encounter between the newcomer woman and the pirate down at the marina in Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra. It was one of the funniest I've ever read anywhere. I don't want to be a spoiler, so I won't say anymore, but that was a clear example of the culture shock that went on in this tiny town.

Yes, it's true, St Helena's Island and Eatonville was where most of the newcomers did settle down, and that was where in Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra there was the most tension between the old timers and the newcomers. Not very many seemed to move to Seneca Hollow, probably because it was more convenient to live where there was shopping and other amenities. Seneca Hollow had more of the die-hard old folks, too.

Forget the trolls. Let us not lose sight of why we're here. We're here to discuss Still Waiting For The Sun by Robert Segarra. One aspect that we need to look at more closely is how Jane was viewed by the long time residents of Eatonville, St Helena's Island and Seneca Hollow. It's clear that each one took a different view of newcomers. St Helena's Island, at least in my opinion, seemed to not be as upset at the newcomers, because that was where alot of the newcomers ended up settling down.
