So glad to hear that Ginger has returned, Susan. I do hope that all goes well for him now. Deric and Aileen, I often think of you and pray you are both tucked up together in the warm, especially during this cold snowy snap. Love to all - Diana, Southampton xx

So pleased Ginger came back, thought he would. He knows where he's well looked after. If the RSPCA can help his recovery, are you going to adopt him? So pleased for you, Sugeebas

I am so glad, Susan. Fate works in mysterious ways. I hope Ginger is trapped quickly and soon free from pain. Love to all.

Last night I dreamt of Ginger, first time ever. I awoke thinking of the poor little soul. I feared that we would never see him again, he has been gone over three weeks now. I get up to a lovely morning, blue skies and the promise of a sunny day, at long last. I go down to feed Mittens and Maddie and who was sitting on our garden furniture waiting for his breakfast? Ginger! I cried for joy. He wasn't thin, so he has been surviving on something, but his eye is swollen, the ears droop and he shakes his head, he obviously has pain. Now I can contact the RSPCA and the cat organisation who said they would be willing to try and trap him. Then Ginger will be off to the Vets and we pray that he can be helped. Wish us luck please, Love Susan

I have come close to wearing out my tape of _The Cat Who Came In From The Cold_, and it has immeasurably enhanced my enjoyment of the hardback that I own. I would like to get another copy of the audio and was wondering if Deric ever did an unabridged version of this title. I love his writing, and his reading only makes it more wonderful.
Thank you,
Nancy Shapiro

Oh thank you Susan for your concern! To describe Mabel, she had a white tummy to half way up her sides - then it looked as though she was going a bit grey amongst the black fur on her back and tail [although this wouldn't show in a photo]. She had such a cute little face - white with black ears and black nose as if she'd been naughty and sniffed where she shouldn't! I hope things work out for you and Ginger. Deric and Aileen, do keep warm in this freezing weather! Love Diana - Southampton xx

Thank you everyone for your advice and support. Still no sign of Ginger. Maddie was always chasing him out of the garden or would give him a wallop, she was attacked by him once and she said that wasn't going to happen again! Dear Diana, hope everything works out for Mabel. I too have peaked on the CP website in your area, wanted so much to see Mabel. But I too couldn't find her. Hope you are all warm and cosy indoors, it's freezing out there. Love to you all, Susan

Un-neutered toms are a a Bally nuisance. I lost a much-loved neutered Tom many years ago, when he was run out by the interloper. I still miss him. Love to all x

We used to have a tatty looking cat that appeared in our garden sometimes. [I think he was meant to be white, but...!] He actually belonged to someone who hadn't had him neutered, so he used to stray a long way from home, not that his owner cared for him. We used to go for several weeks without seeing him, then he would appear again on our patch for days at a time. Unneutered cats can roam far and wide, so don't worry too much Susan. By the way, thank you all for your support when I was so upset about having to part with Mabel. I haven't seen her on the local Cats Protection website yet, but I hear she is with foster parents - a young couple with a cat of their own. Maybe they are trying to train her to toilet outside before they try to rehome her, or at least to use the litter tray provided! Deric and Aileen, I often think about you, do hope you are ok in this cold snowy weather. Take care and keep warm! Lots of love, Diana - Southampton xx
