Book Review By Andy Kim
Sauria by Arrand Pritchard

Rand awakes from suspended animation to find his spaceship deserted. His home planet, Sauria, appears to have suffered an ecological collapse during the many years away on his mission. He descends to the planet to find out what has happened and search for his crew, specifically for his true love, Zylander. The crew have left a trail for him to follow and he finds a war between humans and reptiles (actually a mix of humans and reptiles) led by Queen Danja. While much technology has been destroyed, what remains has cruelly re-purposed for war fighting. After a failed peace making mission, Rand is taken prisoner by Danja. He eventually flees her grasp to follow Zylander, but is pursued by her troops into a mountain sanctuary where he inadvertantly leaves a trail of destruction. He finally finds the remains of his crew in a gripping finale.
