Book Review By Kim Raines
Murder List by Julie Garwood

Regan Hamilton, a beautiful heiress, along with her two best friends, attend a self-help weekend conference hoping to find evidence suggesting that Dr. Lawrence Sheilds, the speaker, is preying on wealthy women and subsequently stealing their money. While at the conference Regan comes face to face with a masked man who tries to kill her. She narrowly escapes.
Her brother Aiden demands 24-hour protection, and so Detective Alec Buchanan comes on the scene. He is transitioning from city detective to FBI agent and is relegated to what he initially characterizes as a menial task of bodyguarding until his transfer takes place.
As pictures of murdered bodies suddenly appear on Regan's computer and lists of murdered victims are faxed to her office, Alec realizes the seriousness of her vulnerability. He prohibits her from carrying on day-to-day activites and works to find the killer himself.
