Trace O'Hurley grew up with traveling entertainers, but when the life became tiresome for him, he left home and eventually became a spy for the ISS. He decides to retire after over ten years when his best friend dies. While drinking to his friend's memory, Gillian Fitzpatrick comes to him and tells him that his friend was actually murdered because of her, and she wants his help to find her kidnapped brother and niece.
Trace agrees to help and takes her to Morocco, where they arrange to rescue her family.
