Reinventing Mona by Jennifer Coburn

Mona has one friend, no hobbies, no boyfriend, no excitement. When she is able to take an early retirement from her engineering job, she decide to reinvent herself so that she can marry the man of her dreams.

Her friend Greta tells her to look within for true happiness, but Mona thinks marriage to Adam will bring her happiness. But she's never dated Adam. In order to figure out how to make Adam fall in love with her, Mona goes to Mike, who writes a column in "Maximum for Men" about what men want from women. She hires Mike to make her over. With Mike's help, all kinds of changes occur to Mona. She starts playing women's soccer, takes a stripping class, and singing lessons.

Adam starts to notice her. But Mona discovers that she is becoming interest in Mike, who she know is a misogynist. Even stranger, Mike seems to be interested in her. Mona is going to have to figure out what she really wants if she is going to find the love she is searching for.
