The Witch and the Warrior by Karyn Monk

Gwendolyn MacSween has been different and therefore ridiculed and hated by her clan all her life. She is accused of witchcraft and sentenced to be burned to death. She unexpectedly rescued by Alex MacDunn, laird of clan MacDunn, rivals to the MacSweens.

Alex saves the witch of his enemies's clan because he thinks she is his last hope to save the life of his beloved son. He is surprised to see the witch is not an old hag but a beautiful young woman. However, Gwendolyn is not a witch and has no magical powers to cure. She has to pretend she is a witch because Alex threatens her with death if she does not try to save his son.

Alex has lost his beloved wife and feels if he loses his son, he will die as well. Gwendolyn is an enigma to him. He vowed never to love again and yet this witch seems to have cast her spell over him. Gwendolyn, who has not known love in her life, falls in love with Alex as she gradually helps his son recover even without magic. But his enemies now see her as an enemy also.
