Book Review By Brad Howard
Rest in Pieces by Rita Mae Brown

This is the second book in Rita Mae Brown's Mrs. Murphy Series. The series is about a small town lady named Harry who is divorced, lives with two animals (a cat and a corgi), and works at the local post office. She works at the 'central location' of her town so she gets to hear all of the gossip and everyone comes to visit her when they get their mail. She's also divorced which makes it interesting as she tries to work on her 'friendship' with her ex-husband. The fun part of the book is that all of the animals in the book TALK to each other (humans of course can't hear them) and they also help Harry solve crimes.

In this book, Harry is introduced to a new neighbor, Blair, which she becomes friends (or more?) with. Blair is a city boy who decides to move to the country (can't say why) and Harry helps him adjust. Parts of a dead body show up in a cemetary on Blair's property, though! From there it's a "who done it" book with the locals suspicious of each other. Things get worse when the head of the body shows up at a town party!
