Jillian Baron and Aaron Murdock come from historically fueding ranch families. Now that each has taken over the running of the family ranch, they meet for the first time. They gradually get to know each other, fueding and fighting more often than not, and stealing passionate kisses when the mood strikes.
They are still competitors, however, and Jillian had had her heart broken before. Just because they had become lovers didn't mean she would let herself fall in love. But he was already in love with her. When someone starts stealing cattle, Jillian is outraged, especially because someone is trying to implicate Aaron. She finally lets herself relax for a day at the county fair, but ends up saving a little boy who ran in front of a bull. Aaron is furious that he almost lost her, and when he gets her home he tells her loves her. She panics and he leaves. Three weeks later, he catches the man who stole her cattle and finds about half of them still alive. When she finally comes back to him to try to make amends, she finally tells him she loves him. | ||
