| Delilah Levine is trying to write television soap opera scripts at her Manhattan home while juggling with her grade two daughter's schedule and household chores. Sadie keeps arriving a school late, the other mothers see Delilah in her pajamas and there is never any dinner on the table in the evening. Delilah's lawyer husband, Jason, is too preoccupied with his company's new secret product called Biosensual and does not help other then criticize Delilah. Her sex life for the past three years has been zero, so, Delilah fantasizes about sex with the handsome plumber, Ford, who is fixing leaky pipes in her bedroom. Most of the chapters start with Delilah's fanatasy, then move on to what is actually happening that day.
Delilah accidently sends in one of her scripts on the back of Jason's report notes about Biosensual, a product which is supposed to have aphrodisiac effects but contains a dangerous ingredient which can cause death. The producers of the soap opera think the notes are Delilah's script idea and they start her writing a whole new story based on Biosensual. But soon after the new story line starts on air, someone appears to be trying to kill Delilah. That is when she begins to suspect that Ford is not a plumber, but an FBI agent. When a bomb goes off in Delilah's closet, she also finds evidence of other women's clothes and letters from two women her husband has slept with. Delilah starts considering Ford as more than an object of fantasy and also needs his help to find out who wants her dead. | ||
