Sweet Fortune by Jayne Ann Krentz

Sam Hatchard wants to marry Jessie Benedict, the daughter of the owner of Beneditct Fastners, the company which Hatch is CEO. Although Jessie finds herself attracted to Hatch, she doesn't want to get involved with him. He's too much like her father who puts work before family. She believes that the only reason that Hatch wants to marry her is because of her stake in the company. After all, she's flaky, uninterested in business, and has nothing in common with him.

While Jessie is at her current job, working as a fortune teller's assisstant, a woman comes in to seek help in exposing the cult that her daughter has joined as a fraud. Jessie begins investigating the cult, against the wishes of Hatch and her family.
Hatch decides to assist her in her investigation in hopes of both keeping Jessie safe and earning her trust. But things begin to turn dangerous when the people surrounding Jessie's investigation become threatened. Hatch and Jessie must try to discover the truth behind both the mysterious cult and their own budding relationship.
