When Crystal Davis is murdered, Cooper Blackstock, a former marine and author, poses as a bartender in the bar she used to own. His brother, whom was in the middle of a custody battle with Crystal, is accused of the murder and Coop is determined to find evidence that will clear his name.
In order to do this he must learn to get along with the new owner of the bar which he is posing in. Veronica Davis, Crystal's sister, is intelligent, fiesty, compassionate, and everything else that Coop wasn't expecting. They are instantly attracted to one another, but both decide that it would never work out. But when circumstances push them together in order to find out the truth about Crystal's murder, they have a hard time keeping themselves both emotionally and physically distanced from each other. | ||
