Soon she finds herself stuck in an elevator with none other than Hawk. She has a severe fear of enclosed places and he helps her to cope with being in the elevator. To keep her mind off it they end up having hot , wild sex.

He commandeers her jeep to go back out on his mission when they get out of the elevator and has someone keep one of their men in the field with her to protect her from the threats she was getting over her own investigation of the hotel. They are encountered on the road and their vehicle stolen but not before the thief's shot the agent. She gets their vehicle going and gets the agent to the doctor and runs inadvertently into Hawk and his teams operation. She is taken along to a trailer outside town and helps in locating the object of their search. After returning the object to the rightful people, Hawk still has to continue to track down the people responsible and she leaves.
