Book Review By Dennis A. Matejka
Exile by Sam Anson

Most of what Americans know about the life of Richard Nixon happened before 1975. This book is a fascinating study of what life was like for the former President after his resignation in August 1974.

Nixon's attempt to rehabilitate his image, and his slow but steady rise back into the public consciousness and favor. There are insights into several of his successors, such as Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, and Ronald Reagan. The issue of "How to handle Nixon" is a recurring one for these politicians as they attempt to navigate their own political careers.
