Half white, half Indian, Gyva has never been fully accepted by her tribe. In her life there, one brave warrior, Torch-Of-The-Sun, later named Firebrand, embraced her in his heart.
Following the death of their chief, trouble starts to brew in the tribe. Gyva, trying to help her beloved Firebrand, speaks up about what trickery she sees. Unfortuantly, her foes seem to be one step ahead of her and hide the evidence. When a whiteman is unlucky enough to be taken captive by the tribe she speaks for the man's life, as he had been peaceful and was merely trying to find a place to live. The tribe, still angry with Gyva, call for Gyva to be killed as well! Firebrand, who had since won his place as Chief, tries to do the only thing he can to save his love. To spare her life, Firebrand banishes Gyva from the tribe and she leaves with the whiteman, Jason, to live a life among the whites. Her pale complexion given to her by her half breed heritage, that once made her an outsider, became her best disguise. Jason takes care of her and soon loves her - and Gyva learns to love him as well. They have a life together, and a child. But, one terrible night - there was an Indian attack. Jason, her only protector, can no longer keep her safe. | ||
