Tomorrow Will Be Better by Zdena Kapral

Zdena Kapral was married when she was nineteen. Her early years of marriage were very happy, and even after a difficult delivery, she and her husband Alex had two daughters. When WWII came their lives fell apart. Alex was arrested and barely escaped execution, and after that barely escaped a death camp.

When Russia's Red Army liberated Czechoslovakia, Zdena and Alex thought things would be better, but the Russians were drunks and rapists, and they destroyed their house and fought a deadly battle at their home.

After many close calls in WWII, they finally leave their country to escape the Communist party. They move to India, but they are soon forced to leave as fighting breaks out between Hindus and Moslems. They move to Australia and later to the United States. This book tells about the lifes of Zdena and her family from the beginning of the war until they retire in the United States.
