Kinsey Milhone is back in action; working on a case for California Fidelity, the insurance company where her office is located at. An unusual numbers of claims have been filed and fraud is a definite possibility. She befriends Bibianna, the person whose claim she is investigating and ends up spending the night in jail with her. When their bail is made she assumes it is due to the deal she made with the cops to help their case. However, it is Bibianna's old fiancee' . a gang leader, who takes both of them back to his place at gun point where Kinsey is hoping she can do some more investigating.
