In The Dark by Heather Graham

Alex McCord works on an island resort with dolphins. Just as she is finally getting involved with another man, a year after her divorce, her ex-husband David shows up saying their was a problem with their papers and they are really still married. She happens upon a body which disappears by the time she gets help and the authorities arrive and all is kept quiet about it per managements request. Another person is found dead weather accidental or murdered is still to be determined. A hurricane is headed their way and most of the guests are evacuated; only a few select staff and guests that asked to stay remain to stay in the shelter.   Throughout this whole time David is saying Alex is in danger and though they spend a few hot nights together Alex begins to believe doubts being put into her head about David and questions herself if he could be the killer. When it comes down to the line she must chose between her husband and the other man. Who will she believe? Who can she trust besides herself?
