Harry Potter enters his sixth year at Hogwarts during an extremely turbulent, troubled time. The headmaster, Albus Dumbledore, arranges to hold 'lessons' with Harry, using memories in the Pensieve to help unfathom Lord Voldemort's past and better understand his weaknesses. The Dark Lord, meanwhile, has his spies and followers working everywhere to terrorize the regular wizarding community.
Although the Defense Against the Dark Arts class has been taken over, horrifically enough, by Professor Snape, the New Potions master, Professor Slughorn, has taken a keen interest in Harry - a good thing, considering that Harry needs to aquire a memory from Professor Slughorn that may be a pivotal key in unlocking a secret of Lord Voldemort. It doesn't hurt, either, that Harry is using a second-hand potions book that has previously belonged to 'the Half-Blood Prince' - Harry's class performances are flawless, thanks to the tips scrawled in the margins of the book. Harry faces many other challenges along the way, including his new role as captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team - and a lot of romance. | ||
