Book Review By Sandra Calhoune
Diary of A Mad Bride by Laura Wolf

29 year old Amy Thomas is happily dating computer programmer Stephen and dealing with the bridezilla antics of her best friend Mandy when Stephen unexpectedly pops the question. Amy, who has always been the poster child for the single life, is floored by the proposal, which happens while they are on line at the concession stand at a movie theater. Amy happily and tearily accepts Stephen's proposal. With the help of Mandy, Amy creates a 70 point Things to Do List, one that she never imagined that she would need to create in the first place. Things take a slight turn for the worse when Amy finds out that her parents and Stephen's parents are only giving the couple $5,000 towards their dream wedding. Suddenly, instead of the glitzly Four Seasons, Amy's parents' backyard is the site of their wedding reception. And Stephen, who she is wildly in love with, is absolutely no help at all with the wedding plans. What's a girl to do? Amy starts shopping madly, trying on wedding dresses, looking for shoes, dealing with crazy caterers, picking bridesmaids and dealing with the antics of her family, her sassy grandmother and her future in-laws.
Suddenly, Amy has become the harried bridezilla that she always laughed at and scorned.
