Special Agent is about Candice DeLong's career in the FBI. The book opens up with her time as a nurse dealing with psychotic patients. This was interesting all on its own, but Candice sort of stumbled into the FBI when she starting dating an agent. From there she took the test and went to Quantico. This section of the book details the evolution of the FBI training and mentality back in 1980 as compared to now. She explains the grueling firearms training, the physical fitness tests, and the high test scores needed to make the grade. She eventually becomes an agent and is stationed in Chicago where she goes into details of her surveilance on mobsters, terrorist groups, and other high profile cases. It's when she moves to San Francisco that book shifts into the Unabomber case. | ||
