Elvis Costello and the Attractions were an excellent new wave rock band in the late 70's and 1980's. Since then, Elvis Costello has diversified his musical interests to include country, classical, and jazz music.
This book chronicles his career and some of his personal life. The author interviewed many of Costello's close associates, although he did not interview Elvis himself. Fans of Elvis will enjoy the copious details about which songs were played in which performances. Other readers will be a bit bored. Elvis' love life and his tumultuous personality are presented in an interesting way, but these parts of the book lack the detail of the parts about his career. It is interesting to read about which of his girlfriends inspired which songs. | ||
