The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith

Pongo and Missis Pongo are happily married dalmatians. Missis gives birth to 15 puppies, and they are thrilled, but soon the puppies are stolen by Cruella de Vil, a mean, fur-obsessed woman who wants to turn the puppies into a fur coat. It is up to Pongo and Missis to find their puppies and save them before it is too late.
