Every Breath You Take by Ann Rule

In this chilling book, a man hides most of his past from his current wife. He remarried for a third time and had two girls. They ended their relationship in divorce and a custody battle for the girls. At one point he gives up his paternity rights and she wins full custudy of the girls.

He married for a fourth time and set out for revenge on the mother of his two girls. For him he did not want her to be happy. she was affraid for her life. She remarried and delivered quadruplites. Life seemed to be getting better when things took a horrifying turn for the worst.
