Book Review By Kathleen
Dovey Coe by Frances O'Roark Dowell

Dovey Coe speaks before she thinks, so its no surprise she woudln't touch arrogant, mean Parnell Caraway with a 10 foot pole! He may belong to the richest family in town, but he's just snobby, and she cant stand the fact he is courting her sister, Caroline, or acts like her brother, Amos, is stupid just because he is deaf.

So, its not a surprise that when Parnell turns up dead, and Dovey is found in the room where his body is discovered, that she soons finds herself on trial for.... Murder! Can the outspoken girl trust her too-nervous-for-healthiness lawyer (who by the way is sweating a gallon a second) to win this case and prove her innocent? Can he get her out of one of the biggest messes of her life?
