A man is dead in a Kowloon Cabaret. His corpse is surrounded by blood. And a black bandana lays beside the body with a name on it. The name is... Jason Bourne.
When the news makes its way all the way to the west, the fear already starts spreading. The assassin is back, and he is being paid by someone. Anyone could be on his list of contracts; Even the Vice-Premier of the People's Republic. Government officials of the highest rank however know this is untrue. Jason Bourne never existed. It was a myth set up by them to trap an assassin known as Carlos the Jackal. The myth played by David Webb was to be used so he can use himself as bait, in order to trap the Jackal. However, this attempt was unsuccessful, for David Webb lost his memory in the process after a bullet entered his brain. Although he survived, he had no knowledge of his past, or his existence. After a misunderstanding results in the American government thinking that Webb has turned, they send out another man named Alex Conklin to finish off Webb. But David is not alone. He survived by the help of a Canadian woman, who presently is his wife. Even though the American government is convinced of Webb's innocence, Webb doesn't trust them, for he believes he was betrayed. He no longer has anything to do with them. David now lives in a university town, and despite being under government protection, he hasn't forgiven them. He is regaining his memory day by day, thanks to the help of his psychiatrist, and his wife Marie. He is living a peaceful life until... A government official named McAllister requests David Webb to hunt down the impostor assassin, but after Webb refuses, Marie is kidnapped and flown to China, leaving clues behind for Webb to follow. Eventually he gets to China and finds out that he must become Jason Bourne. He must become the person he hates most, but also needs most. He must be... Jason Bourne. Jason has to use his dirty bag of tricks to trap the impostor assassin and deliver him alive to the kidnappers in order to get Marie back. This one objective takes him around Kowloon, Hong Kong, Macao and eventually Peking where he finds a man who is one a rampage that will result in the fall of China. | ||
